UPDATED COVID TESTING COMPANY
The Diocese has changed the testing company for smaller academies from MyOnsite to SOMOS, who has tested other schools in the area including Our Lady of Hope and McClancy High School. We have received no further information from SOMOS at this time. Other schools are in the process of scheduling their regular testing days so this information is expected to be announced and shared soon.
MARDI GRAS – LADIES NIGHT OUT VIRTUAL FUNDRAISER
Information went home today in the student folders for our upcoming Mardi Gras – Ladies Night Out Fundraiser. The Pandemic has greatly restricted our opportunity to continue this popular and successful event. We greatly appreciate your participation and generosity.
CHRISTMAS IN JANUARY
The school will celebrate Christmas in January this Friday, January 15. Students should wear holiday colors to school and are allowed to bring pre-wrapped treats to school if they wish. This is not an official Dress Down Day Friday and no money will be collected. Also, the original annual calendar had this as a Professional Development Day for teachers with no students in attendance. However, this day has been replaced as an instructional day for all students.
Our school has currently run out of our supply of working ChromeBook chargers. We sent several to DeSalesMedia to be serviced and fixed, but it has become at least a two-month process before they are returned to us. If your student’s ChromeBook charger is no longer working, you have two options:
Have the student leave the Chromebook in the office upon dismissal and it will be charged overnight for use the next school day. If a Chromebook student needs a device to work on at home while the Book charges in the office, he/she may check out an iPad for use that evening.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
